Yeti the Hutt

Avvia 40 catenelle.
Buon divertimento!!!

I love making hats, both knitted and crochet, but unfortunately I have a big head and a big face so that I can wear only a few of them, usually never the kind that I do!
I designed and crochet this hat last night ... I called Yeti because it's all white (like the abominable snowman known as bigfoot is supposed to be); to be honest I did not have the patience to dye the yarn: I wanted to make it right away.
I hope you can enjoy it, both doing it and wearing it (maybe during your ski holyday!).
It’s a crochet hat you can make with 100g / 3.5oz  aran/worsted wool yarn and a 5mm / UK6 / US H hook.
It has been designed for adults, if you want to resize it for children, you should begin with less chain sts, because the foundation chain correspond with the height of the hat.
Please note that every first stitch of row is intended as ch1.
Chain 40 sts
40 sc, turn, 40 sc on front loop only
25 sc, turn, 25 sc on front loop only
30 sc, turn, 30 sc on front loop only
35 sc, turn, 55 sc on front loop only
Repeat that sequence until you get the right circumference of your head - 8 total repetitions should be enough, but if you work tight or you have a big head like me (!), you can make a few rows more.
Fold the work on right side and sew (or crochet with slip st.) together foundation and ending edges.

Enjoy!
