Mezzi guanti in filato sottile in taglia small, medium, large .
Le istruzioni sono fatte in modo da essere lette sia da chi lavorerà con i ferri dritti, sia da chi vuole procedere invece con la lavorazione circolare (per questi ultimi è disponibile inoltre una differente lavorazione del pollice).

Ferri dritti 2.5 o 3.0

Fingerless mitts, size small, medium, large.
The instructions go well for those who work straight, and those who work circular (for the latter there is also a different version of the thumb).
You’ll need straight or double point needles, size 2.5 or 2.75 or 3.00mm (US 1.5 or 2 or 2.5) – see gauge
Gauge: 30 sts in 10cm/4” in stocking st.
Tip: to increase 1 stitch make a yarn over and in the following row (or round) work that stitch in back loop to avoid holes.
Cast on  48/52/56 sts (leave a long tail if you work flat, in order to sew side).
Work in rib k2/p2 for 12/14/16 rows.
Now work in stocking st. for  24/26/28 rows, BUT pay attention to the first row:
right hand mitt: k3, p1, k2, p1, knit to the end
left hand mitt: knit to last 9 sts, p1, k2, p1, k5
Following rows are worked just as they are (ATA).
Now you have to increase to get thumb:
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k4, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k6, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k8, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k10, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k12, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
22/24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k14, make 1, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
- only for M e L:
24/26 sts ATA, make 1, k16, make 1, 24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA
- only for L:
26 sts ATA, make 1, k18, make 1, 26 sts ATA next row: ATA
All sizes:
22/24/26 sts ATA, 16/18/20 rib k2/p2, 22/24/26 sts ATA next row: ATA

(B) on the left
If you’re kitting circular you can follow (B) – if you working flat you have to follow (A).
low thumb (A)
23/25/27 sts ATA, bind off 15/17/19 sts, 22/24/26 ATA
next row: ATA but decreasing 1st working together 2sts aside closed ones.
high thumb (B)
23/25/27 sts ATA, hold on 15/17/19 sts, 22/24/26 sts ATA
next row: ATA but decreasing 1st working together 2sts aside closed ones.

Keep on knitting 8/10/12 rows ATA
Now work 6/8/10 rows in rib k2/p2.
BO all stitches.
If you got holding stitches (B) work them circular: make 1 and follow the rib pattern for 4 rounds, and BO.
If you need it, sew aside with the long tail.

Enjoy!!!
