Dreaming of Brest

Era da tanto che desideravo un "pull marin" blu e bianco, tanto che avevo anche creato una bacheca "marinerie" su Pinterest, per trarre ispirazione e creare il mio pullover.

Alla fine ho fatto un maglione decisamente oversized, una sorta di indumento rubato a lui... abbondante ma leggero, grazie al filato fingering (Mondim di Retrosaria) e alla lavorazione con il ferri da 3.5mm; quindi perfetto per la mezza stagione, o per certe nottate estive in barca, o sul traghetto che porta da Brest all'isola di Ouissant!

Il colore è il classico blu navy, ma le righe ho preferito farle beige/nocciola, per addolcire un po' il contrasto e richiamare quelli che sono i miei colori, ma penso che quelle righe sarebbero molto interessanti anche in un rosso lacca, un giallo dorato o un fresco bianco ottico.

I've be wanting a blue and white "marin pullover" for a while, and I created a "marinerie" board on Pinterest to get inspiration for designing my own pullover.

In the end I made a definitely oversized sweater, a sort of thing stolen from his wardrobe... big but light, thanks to the fingering yarn and the thin needle; therefore perfect for the mid-season, or for certain summer nights on the boat, or on the ferry that takes you from Brest to the island of Ouissant!

Classic navy blue, but my stripes are beige/hazelnut, to soften the contrast a bit and to recall my colors; anyway I think those stripes would also be very interesting in a lacquer red, yellow gold or an optical white.
